Children’s Health Initiative

Across California, each county was forming their individual Children’s Health Initiatives, to ensure that all the state’s children were covered with adequate health insurance. Verdin was brought on to create the SLO County CHI logo – a task that married the playfulness of children with the serious subject of healthcare. The brandmark needed to appeal to parents, health organizations, medical professionals and potential donors. The whimsical figures in bold colors, but wrapped in a professional package helped position CHI in the county, and also interested CHI organizations in four other counties to hire Verdin for their public outreach.
